Dentist Atlanta Tooth has small gold inlay done in early 90s. Tooth behind has a larger gold inlay as well. Cavity has occurred on the inside at gum level next to the inlay. Began to notice pain in the last week during chewing food on that side. is it possible to repair cavity with a composite filling and not disturb the gold inlay?
Dentist Austin I broke my front teeth off as a child. In high school had root canals and caps placed on my two front teeth. When in college, I had an apicoectomy due to severe infection. Five years ago, the root canals were redone due to failure. Now the left front tooth is very tender at the gum line and gets a bleb there that comes and goes. X-ray show evidence of infection with blackened area all around the tooth. Though the right one does not show evidence of infection, it also hurts nearly as much as the left, though is not tender at the gum line. My dentist thinks the root is fractured and is recommending extraction and implants or a bridge. Do you think there is any way to save these teeth?
Dentist Boston I am a recently single mom who is struggling to make ends meet. I have medicaid but was shocked to find out they do not cover much. I went to the doctor on friday for severe pain on the left side of my mouth and facial swelling. I was supposed to have a scheduled Cesarean thursday but doctor called it off due to tooth issues. The dentist (absolute dental) xrayed 1 tooth and stated i need a root canal and crown. This is a front tooth otherwise i would gladly have it pulled, I have little nubs of teeth behind my I teeth and food collects there so i dig it out with toothpicks, upon doing so i chipped the nub of a tooth and somehow caused an infection~there is now a cavity there. A year ago the same dentist pulled a tooth and left teeth fragments with are poking through my gum on the same side bottom~I had other previous dental work on that side and had a temporary double crown or bridge and it since fell off and so the whole left side of my mouth is a mess. I really cant afford all this extensive dental work, But i cant afford to have a top front tooth pulled from a cosmetic stand point. I need a good dentist who follows Osha standards and can deal with a person with a very low pain tolerance who is affordable. I was quoted 1000 for the 1 tooth which seems extremely high to me. I am on antibiotics, pain meds and nothing seems to help~i am miserable! Plz help!!!

Dentist Cleveland I am a 28 year old female who has lost almost all of her teeth. I had a really bad experience with a dentist when I was 18, and from then on have been deathly aftraid to go to the dentist. She belittled me and everything. I work for a after school program with great kids, but even when they are doing great things, I can not smile to show them how proud of them I am. I was in a abusive marriage, and Im now trying to regain myself and my self confidence, and if it werent for the same children I can not smile at, Im not sure where I would be. It hurts to just write this and Ive been searching for a pro bono dentist, or just someone that could help me, but havent found anyone in south carolina. I really would like to smile for these children, someone please help!
Dentist Columbus im in need in braces. i also have my wisdom tooth growing so my teeth will get more squished than what they are now! i cant afford expensive braces but i want to work out a low deal!
Dentist Dallas I have quite a bit of work to be done. I did a consultation with an Irvine, CA Dentist that has given me a very inexpensive (I think FAIR) price for the implants crowns and bone grafts needed. The dentist is not listed on this site and other than meeting him I don't know if he is going to do amazing work. I have heard too often "you get what you pay for". How can I find out more about this dentist? ( I have searched the web to no avail) His name is Kevin J. Seo DDS (Jungwoo). Can anyone recommend him? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks in advance. -JMT PS.. English and Japanese speaking options are a plus.
Dentist Denver Hi. I need to have a implant and implant crown completed on my upper mouth in front. I have had the tooth extracted. I also need to find a clinic that can provide financial assistance with the costs as I am unemployed and need to get this completed. It is affecting me in many ways-especially on job interviews. I have a temporary flipper in now but need to have permanent procedure done before it affects my other bridge and teeth. Can you please help me to find fee assistance to get this procedure done asap? I think I marked the right tooth-it is on the upper left the first tooth to the left of the top middle one. Thanks!

Dentist Fort Worth my upper right tooth has needed a root canal for years but i haven't been able to afford it, it hasn't giving me much trouble until recently, when the same tooth on the left side randomly chipped and i seem to be missing nearly half the molar. I have just been avoiding chewing on the right side but now i can't chew on the left either. They let me eat soft foods, aren't super sensitive to tempurature, but pressure sensitive for sure. they both have deep holes, where grains of rice and other foods can get stuck and cause extreme pain. I was told that having teeth pulled will make the remaining teeth shift and possibly give gaps and disfigure your facial structure to some extent. Upon more research i see that after getting a tooth pulled its advised to get a bone graft to prepare for an implant (which i hope to be able to get without insurance as well) within the next few months. My dentist told me that teeth can start to shift the day after extraction, but i read the process of getting an implant requires bone growth and healing after extraction before implanting. Is there anywhere that does extraction, bone grafting, and implants without insurance? Can anyone confirm or deny any of the information i've found and/or give your own opinions?
Dentist Houston I went to the UNLV School of Dentistry and they gave me a quote to participate in their program - it will cost me about $4000.00. The bone in the back of my mouth is eroding and I lost 5 teeth (2 pulled, 1 cracked and 2 fell out) in the past 18 months and am scared. I can't afford the $4000 and need a dentist who could do a little at a time.
Dentist Indianapolis The molar on my lower right had a root canal and crown done at the North Shore Univ. dental clinic in Manhasset,NY several years ago. Before the root canal the tooth was giving me pain due to a cavity that went too deep, after the RCT I had no problems with the tooth, until late this summer, I had swelling (but no pain) in the gum around the tooth. An X-Ray was taken and the dentist said there was an abscess there, it was drained, and I was put on Penicillin for 2 weeks. The swelling went away. I go for a return visit a couple weeks ago, and the dentist said the tooth still needed to come out. They didn't take another X-Ray, but according to the endo on duty, he stressed it needed to come out soon because of bone loss. It was also said that the dentist that performed the root canal went too deep with one of the posts and this is the reason why the abscess formed and why the tooth needs to come out! The dentist I have for this year (its a clinic so they rotate dentists) said that it is still infected, and that this infection eats bone. They are stressing me getting it pulled ASAP because the longer I wait the harder it will be to put an implant in. But implants aren't covered by my insurance, and I still haven't finished paying off the Root Canal/Crown. I'm not having any major pain or swelling problems,Its not bothering me, so if it aint broke down fix it. Am I doing the wrong thing? Should I see a lawyer? I am stuck between a rock and hard place because I cant afford implants or bridges since my insurance dont cover them, and if I get the tooth pulled and dont put anything there the dentist says my teeth will shift. I'm starting to get an aching pain from it tonight so I am wonderng if I should just have it pulled. Or maybe I should go somewhere else for my dentistry? All I know is I cant afford to lay out any more money. I am on a limited income and can only have work covered by insurance done, which the dentist office says they will refuse to do if I stop paying them.

My thoughts are that it wasn't prepared carefully or that the crown didn't correctly cover the tooth and either has caused the decay. The crown was a one sitting as it was done by a machine. Am I correct in my assumptions? The crown was beside my titanium implant which also appears a little loose. Thanks

As a hobby, I train in Thai kickboxing and can therefore get punched or kicked to the head. I was just wondering how long I should refrain from this activity in order to let my mouth and bones heal? Dentist San Diego Dear dentists, I am seeking advice on a broken upper first molar. The tooth had a filling before. I was suggested to have it extracted and have an implant. I am wondering if the problem could be fixed without extraction. I heard of root canal before and wonder if it is worth trying. If I have to go with the implant treatment, what are the risks? My dentist used to told me that I have very serious periodontitis and the loss of bones around the teeth is bad. Moreover, the tooth seems to be close to the nose. I am concerned that an implant might be impossible because of the periodontitis and sinus complication. Your suggestions will be highly appreciated. Many thanks in advance!

Dentist Seattle Hi there... I would like to say that I lost two molars when I was pretty young. I am now 32 years old and I am so embaressed of my smile. I'm a makeup artist who never wears lipstick so I dont draw any attention to my mouth. I cannot begin to descibe how much my self esteem has suffered from this. When I had insurance, I had one tooth replaced with a bridge. Now the tooth under that bridge is very decayed and needs to be pulled out. I have trouble eating and Im so embarressed to smile. i cant imagine how I will feel if once the bridge falls out and I am left with three missing teeth on one side and one on the other. My goal now is to find a compassionate dr who would be willing to help me afford getting all this fixed. Does anyone offer an in office payment plan? I just want to be able to afford getting this done. This would just mean the world to me.
